I have a RPI 4B that when I used the joystick to adjust it went to 0 because if I go left or right it went down in the Mb count but while playing controls work like they are supposed to. how I get the vram to the default value if the controls just go down in the settings?

You can edit the configuration file by opening \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\es_settings.cfg with a text editor and modify the VRAM allocated. Make sure you stop EmulationStation before editing the file.
