So I have been trying to get Doom working on my Pi and the LZDoom package isn't a binary on Jessie so I grabbed a new SD Card and flashed the latest version of RetroPie to it. All went well and most settings I can get updated.

The only thing that isn't working is the PS2-->USB adapters aren't detecting the controllers correctly. It is the same setup/unit as the Jessie install but it just doesn't work.

JSTest says its the same driver but the buttons aren't being detected correctly.

      This is on Stretch/RP 4.5.1

      Any help would be appreciated.

      And this is it in Raspbian GNU/Linux 8.0 ( Jessie ) / RP 4.5.18

On all the exact same hardware it clearly can work fine, just not on the latest RetroPie. For now I am having to go back to the old install until I can figure out why its broken.

Have you tried installing the sixaxis driver, the adapter seems to identify itself as a PS3 controller - the sixaxis handles those controllers.

@mitu Yeah I tried that and it still didn't pickup the controllers
