Pi Model or other hardware: 3B+
      Power Supply used: Pi

      Error messages received: none
Emulator: all even in retroarch config
How to replicate the problem: since the update, when i play a game, as soon as the game start a box in the upper right corner appears with the tag "FRAMES", and it keeps counting untill exit, how do you turn this off pleaaaaase :)

You probably enabled the frame counter from the RGUI or reset your RetroArch configuration ? The updates don't enable the frame counter. You can disable it from the RGUI, going to Settings -> Onscreen Display -> Onscreen Notifications.

I can confirm this. Since updating, every libretro system's retroarch.cfg file includes framecount_show = "true".
I've replicated this on two Pi 3B+. I've fixed it, but I had to manually change the framecount_show to "false" on all retroarch.cfg files for EVERY system. Most annoying.

It's a common problem when you use 'Save/Reset Configuration' from the RGUI and the system's config file is reset to the full retroarch.cfg.
