      Hi

Giving the weekly pi 4 build a go and are considering which emulators to run. I am pretty sure I have seen a discussion about default emulators for the pi 4 but can't find it. Maybe someone else know which thread I'm looking for?

      Thanks

Seems ok, but to be honest I haven't tested it so much. There's a PR to integrate MAME (latest monthly) here if you'd like to give it a try. I wouldn't recommend it for a PI3 though, the build will take more than 1 day, but on a Pi4 it's just a few hours.

I'll give some of these a try. Is the lack of Vulcan the issue that is preventing Beetle-PSX being brought to Retropie?

                Currently running:
Retropie 4.8.9 on a Pi Zero 2W (Overclock Settings: CPU 1400Mhz)
                ES-DE on a GMKtec K6 (Windows 11, 32GB RAM)

No, it's the lack of performance. AFAIR Mednafen lacks an ARM dynarec, so emulation is slow.

it does have a dynarec right now but it's WIP, especially on ARM. i just tried it today. works for wipeout great (but still some audio cut outs), but tekken 2 locks up fairly quickly. once it's ready for prime time we will get it added.
