      Fresh install of the new official v4.6 build, I added the Pixel desktop via Raspbian Tools, but it just kicks me back to Emulation Station. I've done a full reboot but same behavior.

      Pi 4, 4 GB model
      400 GB sandisk card
      Official power supply

            Can you post the log file you get after getting back to EmulationStation, from starting the desktop ? Should be in /dev/shm/runcommand.log.

              @mitu Certainly!

              Parameters:
              Executing: startx -- vt1 -keeptty
              /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 1255: startx: command not found

                That's strange, startx should have been installed automatically with xorg. Can you try re-installing again the desktop ?

                  @mitu I reinstalled it, and it did a few extra steps it didn't do before, and now it's working :)

                  Thanks for your suggestion!
