Re: Running ROMs from a Network Share

Im trying to run ROMs from a Western digital my cloud home and having absolutely no joy finding them.

I'm using this guide and running a raspberry pi 4 using this guide.

      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Running-ROMs-from-a-Network-Share/

I've tried method one and 2 and I've used both the name of my wd my cloud home and also the IP address and getting no joy.

I've tried using the guest as I've read online that this may be the way to do it. Again no joy using full name and IP address

An example of what I'm adding to autostart.sh is copied below

      sudo mount -t cifs -o username=wd email address,password=password for this,nounix,noserverino //MYCLOUD-XX1XXX/Public/Roms /home/pi/RetroPie/roms

      Can anyone help...?

@Jste84 said in ROMs from a network share - wd my cloud home:

        sudo mount -t cifs -o username=wd email address,password=password for this,nounix,noserverino //MYCLOUD-XX1XXX/Public/Roms /home/pi/RetroPie/roms

What happens when you run the command above from the terminal ? Is the folder mounted or do you get an error ?
