Hello, I am concerned because in mid-game my HDMI completely cuts out. When it happens I have no hdmi signal. I am running Retropie on top of Rapsbian on a Rpi 4. The same thing happened on my Rpi 1 v2 running the Retropie image from the Downloads section. How can I keep my games from automatically cutting out? The only way to fix it is to either hit hotkey + select to exit game and unplug/replug hdmi or if that doesn't work, hard reset pi which is not healthy. It only happens on Megadrive and SegaCD.

Are you running RetroPie using the Raspbian Lite or the Desktop version ? What you're describing looks like a screensaver/power saving kicking in.

This is not a supported configuration, run EmulationStation/RetroPie from the terminal.
