Help on overclocking the Pi 4B
-
Hi i was trying to look for a guide to overclock my Pi 4B which i just got very recent and wanted to overclock it to 1.75GHz or 1.9GHz with a GPU boost as well but every place i have looked for it just seems to be a little confusing for me so i was wondering if i could get a little help for this and also the reason for the overclock is mainly for some Dreamcast games giving a little bit of a slow down nothing major but would just like a constant 60 without any dips if you know what i mean.

I would start with one of those. Don't know how confusing (or not) they really are.

For that second method do i need to do that "sudo apt update" for RetroPie still or i am good also if i was to do the "arm_freq=1750" would i need to increase the overvolt to use "gpu_freq=600"?

There are no standard overclock settings. A setting that works on one pi may or may not work on another. As a general rule though, if you are increasing the clock speed of a component then you will most likely need to over volt it as well. However, you'll need to perform tests yourself, nobody will be able to tell you what overclock settings will work on your pi.
