I had always seen youtube videos that showed different themes on retropie so I decided to install a couple. I went into es themes through retropie and started downloading about 5 themes I was interested in, when I went to back out of es themes, my pi quit into terminal, so I tried to restart my pi by unplugging it then plugging it back in and it showed me error logs and how the cores had stopped. What can I do to fix this?

Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 3 B
      Power Supply used: 5V 2A
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.6
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
      USB Devices connected: Wireless keyboard
      Controller used: None
Error messages received: [ end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknow-block(179,2) ]---
How to replicate the problem: Install latest version of retropie for raspberry pi 3, change vram to 100 MB then install a couple of themes towards the bottom of the es themes list.

Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

What errors do you receive on start-up ? Can you post a picture or the error message ?

Looks like a corrupted SD card.

Get a SDcard testing tool (like H2testw or F3X) and check if your card is ok. If not, then you'll need a different SD card, otherwise try again to re-image.
You can also have issues from the power supply - the 3B model needs a 5V, 2.5A power supply - if you're using a simple charger I strongly advise to get a proper one.
