Lr-flycast - Grandia 2 (Dreamcast) - Missing sound effects during combat
-
Hi,
Does anyone know if there's a workaround the missing sound effects when running Grandia 2 in lr-flycast?
I think I've tried every combination I could think.
This used to be a DSP problem, but the option is "On".I'm using Retropie 4.6 with a Pi4.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Best regards. -
@zasx No idea, but you do know you can use Redream and it'll be around fullspeed at 480p, right?

@zasx i recommend writing a report at https://github.com/libretro/flycast/issues
@Darksavior flycast is still slower than redream on pi4 after removing its workaround for mesa drivers ?
-
@barbudreadmon Yes, by quite a lot. I reinstalled lr-flycast just now from source and loaded Grandia 2 at the first save area. 25fps average throughout it all. Redream is ~60fps. Both at 480p.

@Darksavior ok, i guess we'll have to wait for better mesa drivers before flycast catch up speed-wise then, i'm still astonished at how performances on pi4 can be that bad when pretty much any game run flawlessly at 960p on odroid-n2.

I reported it and it's fixed (updated from source).
Thanks!

@zasx Just want to say thanks for posting this issue and solution as well. Playing the same game and had the same issue. Much better gaming experience now, thanks again.
