I need help with hooking up a wireless bluetooth speaker to retropie. I tried everything and it doesn't want to work. Recently i have upgraded my raspberry pi from a home computer to a fully portable one that i can take whereever i want to but if i want sound i have to hook up a speaker through bluetooth. If this helps the speaker i'm trying to hook up is a JBL GO, it says i can use an audio jack but the only "jack" port on my raspi is an AV video output i guess. Any help?

Unless you're using a Pi Zero, your Pi has a 4-pole 3.5mm audio jack which also includes the composite video signal. You can use an audio cable to connect and get audio out from it.

If you'd like to use the Bluetooth option, you need to pair the speaker first, then add a configuration file to route audio by default through the bluetooth speakers -https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=201519&hilit=.asoundrc#p1344830.
