1.) i installed drastic and the NINTENDO DS didn't show up in the list after reboot.. no i did not do the following steps in the old tutorial listed above as it should have installed the DS emulator and it put it on the list correctly on it's own as i have seen on youtube videos.

2.) why does one have to "upload" roms anywhere? why not put them into a folder like the roms i have done? i want to play the homebrew DS games I have made.. i don't want to upload them a manager or anywhere else for that matter..

BUT WHY didn't you answer any of the questions listed here like I told you to?https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

And why are you still talking about uploading ROMs?

Aggression isn't the way to get help. Your explanation of your frustrations demonstrate a very clear lack of understanding about common emulator terms.

"Uploading" your roms primarily refers to copying them over to the Pi via Samba share or FTP (since uploading is defined as moving data from your own computer to another computer on a network). You can get your roms to the roms folder any way you choose, whether it be via Samba share, USB copying, or via FTP.

The NDS should show up as a system in Emulation Station when you have roms available for the emulator to use in the proper folder.

          Want help? Be nice.

@Thorr69 am i am being nice... just aggravated that the DS emulator is not showing up in the retropie list.. i still only see atari, sega and so on that i had in the list.. i'm not being mean to anyone..

so you say the ds emulator will show up once there are roms in the folder.. i didn't see a "DS" folder.. would it be named something else or do i create the folder?

                  got it..

put the usb stick into the raspberri pi so it can create the NDS folder
put the usb stick in the pc and put the roms in the NDS folder
put the usb stick back into the raspberri pi so it can populate the games and put the DS emulator into the list

that's all i wanted to know

One more friendly-meant advice … please phrase your topic titles more descriptive, as many potential helpers in their limited free-time may rather skip those "HELP!!", "WHY!!11?!" etc. ones than to look into every one of them to see what they're about. 🧐
