      Hello:

I have been following several tuts online, mostly from this forum, and unfortunately I seem to hit a snag with all of them.

I am looking to install the Daphne emulator and see that more instructions tell me to look under the experimental part of RetroPie. I do not seem to see it in any listing within the RetroPie setup configuration utility.

I have set up the daphne folders in the roms folder hoping that RetroPie would find it but no luck. It just ignores the folders I have created.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks,
      BC

It isn't under Experimental Packages under the RetroPie Setup? Maybe look under something like "Install Individual Emulators from Binary or Source" under RetroPie Setup.

@battlecat If you are using Version 3 as your post title indicates, Daphne was not added to Experimental until RetroPie version 3.5.

If running current version of the script (probably a beta 4.0 pre-release) Daphne may have been moved out of the Experimental area and listed in main list of core emulators.

My title is misleading. I am running a RPi 3 with the lastest RetroPie. The caveate is that I am using the RetroPie for the Linux Desktop for testing.

            Thanks,

I'm running an older version when it was located in the Experimental Packages. My plan is to hold out until 4.x is released and then start a new build from scratch. I saw a beta post on 4.0 and lost it.

When using 4.0-beta 2 it is as follows to install:

                1. RetroPie Setup (ES Menu)
                2. RetroPie Setup
                3. (P) Manage Packages
                4. (opt) Manage optional packages
                5. (106) Daphne

Has Daphne been removed? When I go to Manage Optional Packages, it is not listed (v4.0 rc1 4cf8745). My list goes form 103 basilisk to 107 dgen.

Please detail your setup when posting as I can't remember everyone's config - I suspect your problem is if I recall you are running on a PC right ? Daphne package is not currently available for PC (due to problems building currently on x86_64).

@johnodon Yep - especially with the standalone emulators - they differ between what is available for different platforms. But some libretro cores also (eg lr-beetle-psx.sh is available to x86 but not arm currently)
