      Would appreciate any help in trying to figure out why the throttle sound on Asteroids Rev 4 is so distorted.

      Running:

      RetroPie Version 4.6.1 (Last commit 2 weeks ago (03c8ea7)
      Running on a Zotac Box ID80 mini-pc (Intel Atom D2700 @ 2.13GHZ, 8 GB of RAM)
      Installed on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
      I downloaded a reference version of Mame2003 ROMs.
      Connects via HDMI but I have also tried connecting via optical audio.

      I have tried changing to a lower sample, tried changing from pulse to Alsa, even reinstalled everything from scratch.

      I also tried install Mame 2003 Plus.
