With the previous version of retropie the x68000 emulator (lr-px68k) worked without problems using * .m3u. With the latest version of retropie I get an error "Failed to set last used disc".

Same here, no idea what causes it. Sorry I can't be of help, but I'm going to watch this thread to see if anyone has an answer.

@snock Please post the details of your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Is your x68000 ROM folder writable by the pi user ?

            rpi 3b+ - 256 gb.
In the previous version of retropie they worked ... in the new version they are the only roms that don't work. All the others yes.
Will the user be pi if he can write ... and yes, he can.

What is the 'previous version' ? By 'new version', I assume you mean 4.6 ?
The information you provided is pretty scarce - there's nothing much to go on.

Try to get a verbose log from the emulator and post it on pastebin.com.

When using a translator, I may not explain myself correctly. In 4.5 & 4.5.1 they worked without problem and in version 4.6 (last) no,always with the latest version compiled..

Thanks I was looking at how to generate the log correctly. link text

Update the emulator (lr-px68k) from source and re-try.

@mitu Nothing gives the same error, with * .m3u it fails but with * .zip it doesn't.

                    *.m3u

I just tested an .m3u file with the lr-px68k core and I don't get a crash - my .m3u file lists the .dim file for each floppy. What is the content of your .m3u file ?

The Sharp x68000 is a great platform for some real nice hidden gems. I just wish the emulators were better done with a more professional setup like the wonderful, FS-UAE emulator for Amiga computers. Because too many Sharp x68000 games require multiple disc and that part is not handled as well in these emulators.
