I know nothing about software. RETROPI booted and went to configure n64usb controller. I don’t know definition of each command I am programming. So I don’t know what button to select for that command.

(Also I am disabled )and hard to do things. Is there an definition “in order” of what each command does? Or is ther a slow clear video showing what buttons to select for each command?
PLEASE HELP. MY FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY GAMES.

      It is best gift ever.
      Pi 4 and games.

Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

So I don’t know what button to select for that command.

Which command are you referring to ? The initial dialog just maps your controller buttons to a generic controller model (RetroPad) like the shown here.
To navigate the EmulationStation interface, you need at least the D-Pad A and B buttons mapped, so you can navigate and launch games.

@alton the n64 controller is a difficult one as it's not really like any other controller in terms of its button layout so hard to determine which button will do what. I believe they've mapped what's what on this site somewhere so that'll give you a good idea moving forward
