hi, i currently have my gamepad setup as hat switches. it works fine for everything except mame4all-pi. it wont recognize my hat presses. all the other buttons function as they should.

the hat buttons work in emulationstation, they work in advmame too. just not in mame4all.
is it due to a config?
ive spent hours trying to fix it, and cant get it working

any help would be greatly appreciated

      thanks!

I'm having the same problem here! I use a dualshock 4 over bluetooth. The analog sticks work, but the d-pad doesn't.
Someone told me that mame4all doesn't support those "h0up" commands, but I don't know what to do... Can someone help?

I've recently set up RetroPie and have experienced the same problem. Fortunately for me, my arcade stick has a hotkey to switch the joystick from hat 0 controls to x_axis and y_axis reporting to mame4all and can be bound properly.

@skrapps914 What happens if you press TABto access the config menu then press your switches? mame4All is not part of retroarch.
