8Bitdo SFC30 Gampad Button Mapping Changes on Reboot
-
Hey guys! First post to the Retropie Forum and its a plea for help I'm afraid!
I'm fairly new to Retropie and have managed to figure most things out so far but I have an issue with a 8Bitdo SFC30 gamepad where the button mappings change when the Pi is rebooted or a ROM is played and then Emulation Station relaunched.
I'm connecting via Bluetooth and I ran the Update RetroPie Setup Script option before connecting the controller, registered and connected the controller fine and then set up the udev rule required for 8Bitdo controllers, rebooted the Pi then finally mapped the controller in Emulation Station configure input as per the layout of the controller and all is fine until the Pi is rebooted or a ROm launched at which point when Eumlation Station launches again the A and B button have reversed.
I'm currently running v3.8.1 of Retropie, controller has the most up to date firmware and I have tried on my exisiting install of Retropie, a new install and with different SD cards but the same happens each time.
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this or how to diagnose it please?
Thanks.

@mrwookie Not often you can answer your own plea for help but in this instance I can as figured out the solution. :)
None the wiser as to why it changes upon a reboot but what I found to fix it is that if I exit emulation station (F4) and then edit /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_input.cfg and revert the mappings that are there for the A and B buttons that it then fixes the issue and this sticks even after the Pi is rebooted.
Hopefully this may help someone out in the future if they have similar issues.
