Before i start my english might not be the best so hope you guys still understand.

I recently got my Pi 4B and now that i installed retropie when i plug in the usb stick to download games the shortened folder names are very confusing to me.
Files like "pcengine, fds, fba and more" i dont know what consoles those are, is there a list to make the shortened ones to the full names
      ? Thanks in advance

"pcengine" is the PC Engine. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TurboGrafx-16)
"fba" is Final Burn Alpha. (https://www.fbalpha.com) although now it has morphed into Final Burn Neo (https://github.com/finalburnneo/FBNeo).

You can go to https://retropie.org.uk/docs/ and expand the "Emulators" item from the menu on the left side. Each system will be listed here, and if you click on one the next screen will show what the rom folder name for it is.

It's not as easy since you have the short names already, but with some logic you can work your way backwards pretty easily. "fds" for example is the Famicom Disk System.

It's probably better to start with @YFZdude's suggestion and look up the systems/consoles you're interested and see which folder is which (mos of them are pretty easy to guess).
The other way around is by looking at the platform configuration file, where the short names (folders) are associated with the full name of the platform.

Thanks everyone! I found @mitu's answer the most useful, but thanks for the suggestions!
