      I am not able to open the ES menu for audio, shutdown, etc. Also, the lower left controller hints (SELECT-OPTIONS, START-MENU, B-BACK, etc.) which used to appear before, are not there now. I recently updated all the packages in an attempt to get mame games working. I read something about it having something to do with enabling help or something irrather. How do i fix this?

        @KLAJD Did you enable the Kiosk UI mode from EmulationStation's menu ?
