Reicast

I have a new problem. I downloaded reicast because i wanted a dreamcast emulator. When I launch it, it shows me this :

..Join our Discord Server !

..Dreamcast BIOS

I tried to put a game in ROM/Dreamcast but nothing shows. When i try to do something, the rasperry freeze. Is it normal or did i do something wrong ?

This is what looks like when you're launching it without any ROM.

You'll need to add a supported disk image - as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Dreamcast/. If the filename you added doesn't have the proper extension it will not show up in the list of games.

Game I want to try : Hydro Thunder (US)[Re-release][NBS].cdi

When i launch the game without Reicast, it shows me the normal menu of the dreamcast but i can't play because i need to insert a disk. But When i launch the Emulator it shows me the thing that i told u (and i can't do anything). I watched a lot of video and this problem doesn't show at all

I don't know the RetroPie version that i use but i think it is the 4.6

@AlreadyTaken Do you have the BIOS files for reicast set up ? Alternatively, you could try installing lr-flycast and run the game with it - just change the emulator from the runcommand launch menu.

@mitu I checked and the BIOS are fine. I made all the things necessary but nothings work, strange. I will try lr-flycast to see if it work

That's normal - you should be launching the game, not the +Reicast entry, in order to start it.

@mitu So if it says "Please insert game disc.", that means that the ROM file is not correct ?

I don't remember getting this message with reicast. Does it show when you're launching the game ? Usually, if the ROM/disc image is not correct, you're returned to the game list. Did you try to launch the same game with flycast ?
