            I have had this same problem with the ipac (keyboard mapping), my solution was to go into each and every system controller config file and manually input the key mapping to the joystick/keyboard/controller for it to work properly with the emulation system.

              I'm having an issue where mame4all wont detect my hat switch presses. (this is what my d-pad is)

                Yes meleu I did try to mess around with the tab button, I get the menu to change the buttons but it doesn't detect the joystick movements still.

                  @Kristopherson05 My experience has been the rom. Try using a different emulator. What game are you trying to run?

                    @megatron99 in every game i try to run, using mame4all-pi, it wont detect any joystick movement, using a d-pad. when i plug a usb ps3 type gamepad in, it will only detect the analog stick on that. and not the d-pad either.

                    in the mame.cfg file, i noticed this , and and not sure why this is there, and if it might be the reason why d-pads arent working. i dont have an xbox conroller connected, not sure why that would be there.

                    AXIS_LR=0
                    AXIS_UD=1
