All sha1sum match. I don't know why advmame is telling me of missing files. The right files are inside the zip.

Use the information in the link above to verify your romset. Then make sure you have set advmame 1.4, not the default.

I do. I don't know why, but it says to me that it didn't find the files:

They are the only files in puyo.zip from the .106 set. So maybe you havent put them in the right rom directory?
It needs to be in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-advmame

Please check the Wiki for details first:

              it is in ~/RetroPie/roms/arcade/advmame

When I change to /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-advmame it does not let me choose AdvanceMAME, only mame4all.

Press a button on your joypad when the runcommand menu comes up - please read this to see how to set an emulator:

                Also, post your build info:

I have erased all my mame roms. Only let puyo.zip in ~/RetroPie/roms/arcade/advmame.
If I put puyo.zip in RetroPie/roms/mame-advmame, ES does not show up mame menu on main screen. It only shows when I put roms in arcade directory. Inside Arcade menu, It shows advmame.

                  My build:
                  Raspberry pi 3,
                  Installed Retropie with git/script.
Everything works as expected, except this advmame with puyo.

A side note: I cannot run anything with advmame. It always says that files are missing, no matter which ROM I put on .
I tried to uninstall / install again, but it still does not find anything.

If that if I put anything on the advmane directory (~/RetroPie/roms/arcade/advmame), ES just ignores it. It only shows when I put in Arcade/advmane directory. Is this expected?

Have you installed the emulators you need?

                      Hi Floob,
                      thank you for your time.
Yes, I did installed Mame4all and AdvanceMAME, besides the console emulators (libretro emus).

Just a quick follow up on this issue, I successfully ran puyo puyo with mame2003 and the right romset.
Thank you for your help Floob.
