no games that will work
-
my system has no games that are playable #nogames
-
@tinydog1968 What type of games are you trying to play? What happens when you try to play games? What type of system are you using? Have you added any games? Retropie doesn't come with any, you have to add them yourself.
-
its like all info is gone off of game system. everything was on it when i fired it up
-
@tinydog1968 could you please provide more information about your setup as outlined here.
-
@tinydog1968 Need more info. what do mean by "gone"?
-
when i got raspberry out of box it was supposed to have 22000 games on it. i hooked it up and was able to fix controlers and go thru all menus and see all games. went to a couple of games and attempted to play but screens where half on and half off. now it only shows intellivision, custom collection, andall games modes but no games you choose will play it says no info found. no way to get to menu. only volume menu

@tinydog1968 We don't support third party builds here. Sounds like something is corrupted, misconfigured, who knows. We have no idea what the 3rd party did. I recommend that you start from scratch. So when things go wrong, we know what retropie was supposed to do, and hopefully you know what you did to cause an error.
You learn the whole system that way. Retropie is not intended to be a product you buy, but a hobbyist project that lets us make our own videogame console. And maybe learn some linux ;) -
so i got stuck for $200
-
@tinydog1968 yes. The parts alone to make a decent build is about $100 max. At least every build ive made is about that LOL
-
i have no idea what to do. my computer skills are not great.
-
it came with a sd card that supposed to have all the games on it.
-
@tinydog1968 Thats OK. We all started somewhere. Most of us here spend more time customizing our builds than actually playing games.

this will help you on your adventure.
As far as games, you're on your own. We cant tell you where to get them. Just know that are called "roms" -
thanks my friend
-
@tinydog1968 You're welcome and good luck. Plus who wants 22,000 games? Find the few games youll like to play, and enjoy.
-
@lostless I agree, 22,000 games? You'd never play them all.
-
@tinydog1968 There's a thread with many legal sources for games in this forum, and @SgtJimmyRustles kindly posted a link to a wiki with even more.
You could also look for "best games for [system name]" (e.g. "best games for snes") on the web or on YouTube to find games that are the ones worth playing.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
