I followed the instructions in the wiki to start transferring my folder structure / contents to an external USB drive and it is going very slow. It's been running for 36 hours and isn't even through my GBA library yet.

Is this typical? Is there a safe way to stop the transfer? Should I wait it out? I'm thinking I should have started fresh, moved the folders, mapped the drive and then done a transfer to my USB from the computer.

I'm on RetroPie 3.8.1, installed from an image, RP3 over clocked and fan cooled. My USB drive is 1 tb(I didn't format it before the transfer which I now regret)

UPDATE: I stopped the process with Cntrl-C. Going to copy the ROMS over the wired network and then he remaining folders hooked up.
