Hatari and SuperSprint
-
Hello,
I tried to play to SuperSprint (nostalgia !). But I failed... Here is my way to do it :
#1 - I installed HATARI from the additional packages. Everything sounds good.
#2 - I installed the TOS.img (tos102fr.img renamed)
#3 - I installed the file supersprint.stx file
I restarted Emulstation
Then I tried to launch the game from the Atari screen
I just get a white screen with a small green rectangle on the top...
I tried to press F12 then choose the game (I checked Fast Floppy Access) then reset. But nothing better...
What's wrong with my steps ?
Thank you,
-
The BIOS filename is
tos.img
- Linux is case sensitive, so check if the renamed TOS file is correct. Otherwise, you can check the log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log
) and see if any errors are logged by the emulator. -
Hello, I made a mistake, and you're right, the file name is tos.img.
So, the pb still exists. I cannot launch my favorite game... -
I tried with a
st
image and it worked for me (using a similar TOS). The file I tested isSuper Sprint (1986)(Electric Dreams).st
, with a checksum (MD5) ofa2c20ea4ff9ce697db93deb01c1cbae2
. What is the checksum of the.stx
you're using ?Can you add more details about your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Hello, just before I test this evening, can you give me the version and checkup of the top file you use ? Moreover, are you using hatari for lr_hatari ? I'll also try with the .st file you described to me.
-
The fr TOS file is the same as yours (md5 -
d6521785627d20c51edc566808a6bf28
), though initially I had another one. It doesn't seem to matter. My test was done using the standalonehatari
. -
I confirm the d6521785627d20c51edc566808a6bf28 md5 for tos.img
I downloaded a 017b31ba1d49e5c4641489c6386ed118 md5 version of SuperSprint on another website ! And it almost works !
I cannot use the joystick. I pressed F12 and tried to find a joystick in the configuration. But no one. I use a Picade with a hat-X !
Thank you ! One step beyond !!! -
AFAIK the Hat-X identifies as a keyboard, so that's probably why no joystick is shown. Maybe Hatari has a way to emulated the joystick with the keys, but I don't know if/how it's done.

I tried to do it. It's too fast ! When I define up / down / left / right, I've each time one key which is detected by another. For exemple : the hatari asks for up, I move up the joystick, it detects the up and quickly passes to down and also detect the up.... is this any file to configure from ssh ?
