Menu / Emulation Station laggy on RPi3 OC since 3.8.1

Hi,
since updating to 3.8.1. on my overclocked RPi3, the scrolling between consoles in the main menu became kinda laggy.
No big deal but is there a way to fix this?

Maybe a more powerful PSU will fix the problem -
@Brigane Thanks for the quick reply but I already have the official RPi3 PSU.

disable overclocking - it might be throttling due to temp (and the official RPI3 PSU may not be enough when overclocked)

using "pixels" skin for emulationstation reduced lag to zero. thanks y'all.
