https://forums.libretro.com/t/guide-play-non-arcade-systems-with-mame-or-mess/17728
-
http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/latest/
In above link you find them directly.
I can't find a mess core.My advise, try mame standalone.
-
ok with the mame (standalone core downloaded , then what do i do ? (mame is already in Retroarch for me on my win 10 pc )
-
Standalone mame isn't part of retroparch.
You can run it without. You can run mame from your console
then you have to run, I think :
mame cdimono1 -cdrm game.chdthere should be a bios directory somewhere.
You have to place the cdimono1.zip in there.or run mame with a click
You get into a menu.Much is explained on https://docs.mamedev.org/
Look at the documentation. -
so mame is an exe file on my pc ?
im sorry all this is hard to understand for me , im sorry
can you remotly see my computer and help me ? (anydesk)
-
Did you install mame from my suggested link ?
-
i didnt , because i downloded directly from within retroarch , im sorry for the confusion , let me do that now
ok
i just downloded mame_libretro.dll.zip
i just extracted it and all it is is
mame_libretro.dll
i dont know what to do ?
-
It is better to help you this way, so you learn.
I know it can be confusing, but once you know how it is structured, you know.
-
Thank you for wanting to teach me
so i downloaded what you suggested and extracted it ... all it was is a file named
mame_libretro.dll
-
You have to install this :
https://www.mamedev.org/release.htmlThis is an emulator that has nothing to do with retroarch and libretro-cores.
That's why it's called standalone. -
ok let me do that
-
-
Try to run mame once.
There must be a mame.ini .
If you open this with a text editor there should be directory's in them.
So you can see where the roms have to go to.Try to read from here.
https://docs.mamedev.org/usingmame/usingmame.htmlps: I have to quit now. Perhaps I can help you tomorrow again.
-
@folly said in IR-CD-I ???:
mame.ini
i ran mame once
there is no mame.ini
only ini file i locate is
ui.ini
yes please help me tomorrow have a wonderful evening
-
Ok, try using the docs from the link I gave you.
Much is explained.Perhaps i will install it too on a windows computer tomorrow.
So I can see what it does.Good luck, for now.
-
just read the doc you sent me ... no luck in understanding .. hope you could guide me tomorrow .... message me tomorrow if you have some luck on your end
Thank you .. until then
-
I created a directory called :
C:\Program Files\mame0229b_64bitI copied the
mame0229b_64bit
file in that directory.I extracted this file in the same directory.
I copied the bios in :
C:\Program Files\mame0229b_64bit\roms\cdimono1.zip
containing :
cdi200.rom
cdi220.rom
cdi220b.rom
zx405037p__cdi_servo_2.1__b43t__llek9215.mc68hc705c8a_withtestrom.7201
zx405042p__cdi_slave_2.0__b43t__zzmk9213.mc68hc705c8a_withtestrom.7206I copied arcade classics (1996)(namco - philips)(eu)[!][compilation].chd in :
C:\Program Files\mame0229b_64bit\roms\cdimono1\arcade classics (1996)(namco - philips)(eu)[!][compilation].chd
In the dos-prompt I started mame like this :
C:\Users\yourname>cd "C:\Program Files\mame0229b_64bit" C:\Program Files\mame0229b_64bit>mame cdimono1 -cdrm "C:\Program Files\mame0229b_64bit\roms\cdimono1\arcade classics (1996)(namco - philips)(eu)[!][compilation].chd"
So try this.
I could not get it running within the menu.
This loading depends on hash tables and so the naming and the directory structure has to be perfect.Skipped this because I don't want to spend that much time on this.
I hope this works for you.
