      @adambegood

      Use the second -cdrm script.

Indeed, the package help is on the todo list.

Okay, that wasn't a criticism by the way. You've achieved loads already.

That works! Doesn't seem to run anything any better but I presume this is still being developed so maybe one day this will work through MAME. Thanks for the help!

            Leave it for now.
I can't find it also, how to change the thread name.
In time I will ask someone who knows.
            Then we can try again.

I know how you can change the thread name. (thanks to @Zering )
Just edit the first post, just retype the thread name, that should do the trick.
Here is a picture of my thread (type changes where I selected the text) :

              Hi all,

So installing Valerino's scripting I got all my games to work with one caveat. the 'tempmess.cmd' file is always used to run a rom so mame/mess/retroarch sees every game as having the same name, so you can't save per-game configs, or have per-game bezels.

I modified his run_mess.sh file that takes the name of the rom and creates the cmd file with it, e.g. "Defender of the Crown.cmd". So now all the games have bezels unqieu to the game and custom screen settings for the bezels.

Is this change of interest to anyone?

              RussellB

                Hi RussellB,

It is possible save per game configs, with this "hackish solution" :
                https://github.com/FollyMaddy/RetroPie-Share/tree/main/00-scripts-00#solution-for-game-specific-configs-with-lr-mess-

I modified his run_mess.sh file that takes the name of the rom and creates the cmd file with it, e.g. "Defender of the Crown.cmd". So now all the games have bezels unqieu to the game and custom screen settings for the bezels.

                This could be interesting,

Could you share your stuff in our thread ?
                https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/29682/development-of-module-script-generator-for-lr-mess-and-mame-standalone

Then we can see if we can integrate something.
