      Hey there.

I recently got a Pi 4B and decided to install RetroPie on it. I managed to get my Xbox Bluetooth controller working on it but there's on little annoying problem:

The input sometimes freeze and becomes unresponsive at random intervals, resulting in alot of missed inputs and stuff. I can barely play any games without my controller freezing up and doing nothing.

      I used the pre-made RetroPie images. 4.6.
Controller used: Xbox Wireless Controller Model 1708

Has anyone encountered this issue and is there a fix to this?

Try installing the xpadneo driver from RetroPie-Setup, then remove any Bluetooth devices and re-pair the controller. You probably will have to re-configure it again in EmulationStation.

@mitu I just did and the controller issue seem to disappear. But now I can't use hotkeys to exit the emulator at all.

Reset your controller configuration and re-configure it again in EmulationStation.
