      I'm trying to add a hotkey in GBA for fast foward and mute audio toggle. I bind it to L2 and it works until I shutdown the game. I've tried saving current config and tried saving new config. I also tried saving core override and game override. Everytime I boot the game though I need to go back into settings->input and change the hotkeys. Anyway i could just save this?

          @UberLumby Are you talking about Retroarch?
          Maybe it's a permission problem.
          Can you change other settings and save them?

                No, it's not specific to the RetroArch version, overrides don't save the hotkey configuration, it's saved only when saving the whole configuration.
                You can try to add an extra configuration line in /opt/retropie/configs/gba/retroarch.cfg with

                input_toggle_fast_forward_btn=X

                where X is the button input code for L2 - you can find it from your gamepad autoconfiguration file in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/<gamepad.cfg>.
