Cannot edit /etc/modeprobe.d/bluetooth.conf
-
Hi guys,
I'm trying to edit /etc/modeprobe.d/bluetooth.conf to disable earth to connect a Xbox One model 1708 controller to my raspi 4 with RetroPie 4.6 installed.
I type: sudo nano /etc/modeprobe.d/bluetooth.conf
I edit the file but I cannot save because modeprobe.d file does not exist.
The strange thing is that if I go in /etc folder and ls it, I see a modeprobe.d entry.
Do you know how can I solve this issue? -
- You have a typo - it's /etc/modprobe.d not /etc/modeprobe.d.
- Install the
xpadneo
driver, it should take care of any Bluetooth configuration.

Oh no! Sorry @mitu, I'm a stupid man :)
Now it's ok.
I'll take a try to xpadneo. I will let you know.
Thanks a lot! -
@mitu: I would to try xpadneo but I don't know how to start. Could you give me some instructions or a link to start from?
-
@pscotto1234 It's a package in the 'driver' section, which can be installed like other packages - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#manage-packages.

Ok. Can I try this package without uninstalling/disabling other bluetooth packages?
-
What 'other bluetooth' packages ?

I don’t know. I was thinking about something installed that could conflicts with xpadneo

@pscotto1234 Unless you installed the
ps3controller
driver, which disables the OS Bluetooth stack, there shouldn't be any issues.
You might have to re-pair the controller and - recommended - re-configure it in EmulationStation after installing the driver, but that's all. -
