Retro pie options won't load. E.g setup
-
Hey guys. I was updating my pie and power was disconnected now I can still play games but when I go to any of the set up menu options I get this message.https://photos.app.goo.gl/e48bCgRX1xrBQu8D9.

This looks like you have some held/pinned packages - more than it should be necessary. Can you run the following commands and post the output ?
dpkg -l | grep ^h | wc -l dpkg -l | grep ^h
EDIT: Add some info about your setup - as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
-
@mitu it's a b3+
-
@benjiman this is just your device - not your setup.
Please open the link mitu posted to see which information is required. -
@sirhenrythe5th yea I don't know what that means. Thanks anyway I'll try this
-
@mitu I think it's a lost cause I can't seem to find the key for the pipeline symbol. Is there a way to update retropie from the command prompt or something?

Yes, you can start RetroPie-Setup from the command prompt with
cd $HOME/RetroPie-Setup sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
and continue from there. I don't think this would help though, since the issue is with the package manager (
dpkg
) and not RetroPie-Setup. -
@mitu yea it doesn't. Thanks for your help anyway.
