      Hey-

      RetroPie 4.7 (updated over 4.7 image downloaded for retropie.org)
      Raspberry Pi 4B, 4GB ram
      Raspian Buster
      4 amp power supply from Vilros
      8BitDO SN30, generic USB N64 controller, Vilros USB genesis controller.

      So I have tried to edit the platforms.cfg file with

      pcengine_theme="tg16"
      pcengine_platform="tg16"

      but the graphic in Emulation Station still shows the PC Engine logo. Any suggestions? Thanks!

      Dave

        @DavidDraper did you reinstall the pcengine emulator after that change? That's needed to trigger the config update.

          Make sure you create your own platforms.cfg in /opt/retropie/configs/all rather than editing the default one.

            @BuZz Hey - thanks for the help. I did add the ROMS after the update. I did not install any emulators, but I did add the 2.0 and 3.0 bios. I did update the platforms.cfg file in /opt/retropie/configs/all. I have restarted emulation station and RetroPie itself since making the change.

            I had already created a platforms.cfg file to change the Sega Master Drive to Sega Genesis previously.
            The whole file reads:

            megadrive_theme="genesis"
            megadrive_platform="genesis"
            pcengine_theme="tg16"
            pcengine_platform="tg16"

            I also found this forum post here that recommends editing the es_systems.cfg file in /etc/emulationstation/. That did not help either.

            What do you think?

            Dave

              @BuZz - I did not install any emulators because they seemed to already be there; the lr-beetle-pce-fast and lr-beetle-supergrafx emulators are in the run command menu.

                @DavidDraper you need to reinstall one after changing platform.cfg data.

                  @BuZz - Boom. That did it. Thanks!
