      I'm super new to all this not a computer guy but an avid gamer
      I can not get Neogeo rooms to play on retro pie pi3 I followed what I think was the rite instructions with Neogeo bios in my Neogeo folder and bios folder but still nothing please help

          In the particular case, the BIOS does not go in the BIOS folder. Make sure you have the neogeo.zip (BIOS) in the same folder as your mslug roms (~/RetroPie/roms/neogeo).

          If you are still having issues, chances are that you have the wrong BIOS version.

            It all has to align with the ROMs and BIOS being compatible in the NeoGeo or Arcade ROMs folder. I cannot link you to any files that I am certain are compatible but do some searching and forum hunting at some emulation sites. I been having good experience with the latest NeoGeo game files and BIOS. No need to go back to older stuff IMO.
