Hello guys, first time poster/retropie user. I've been playing with retropie for about a month, its been awesome and been watching some great youtube videos.

I bought a 2nd raspberry pi 3 and started with the latest image etc. Updated everything, plugged in one FC30 Pro remote. I initially had some issues and did some tinkering in the controller config line and got it working great. Then I decided to add another FC30 Pro. I cannot get the 2nd remote to recognize anything but the D pad and "a" button as Start. It seems to be conflicting with the first remote as well once the 2nd is on.

Let me know if I should attach my two (or 3) config files

Could you use some of your expert guidance.

      Pi Model: 3 B
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.0-rc1
      Built From: SD Image
      USB Devices connected: Keyboard
      Controller used: FC30 Pro (Qty:2)
Error messages received: just can't get a second controller configured properly
      Guide used: Youtube
File: not sure where my problem is at the moment
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable) N/A
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)
How to replicate the problem: works fine single connection. trying to figure out how to set two of them up

      Cheers and thank you

I just went through this if you run sudo bluetoothctl and type scan on in the terminal while your controller is in pair mode and hit some buttons on the controller for good measure it will eventually find it. Note you may not see 8bitdo Controller name next to like the first one. Once you get that detected go back to the retropie-script and try searching for the controller again the same way you did for the first one. You should see the controller now. Watch out for different mac address as both controllers will have the same name.

I already have both paired and see the different MAC addresses. The config names are different.
          8BitdoFC30PRO. cfg
          2nd one is listed as
          8BitdoFC30PRO8BitdoFC30PRO.cfg

Should I unpair and delete the scripts above and retry? I'm going to try the scan on and see if anything changes now

Update: I just performed the scan on and I can see my remotes, same MACs as before. No changes to .cfg as far as I can tell. What should I try next?

I'm still struggling with the 2nd setup. Do you think I should start a fresh install or can I delete the joystick config files and restart?

I know I have had issues at times but I found the easiest fix is what you said delete the controller config files, remove the Bluetooth devices, and start anew. With a little playing around it should work.
