      Pi Model: Pi 3 B
      RetroPie Version Used: 3.8.1
      Built From: SD Image
USB Devices connected: Any combination of 2 controllers + keyboard
      Controller used: Logitech F310
      Error messages received: None
      Guide used: http://makezine.com/projects/build-retro-gaming-console-raspberry-pi/

      Emulator: All SNES emulators

      How to replicate the problem:

I started with a Pi 2 and RetroPie version 3.5 or 3.6 (can't remember which), everything worked great. Recently I got a Pi 3, loaded the 3.8.1 image onto my SD card, then copied all of my roms over. Everything except the GBA and SNES roms worked. For the GBA roms, I changed the default emulator, then those worked fine.

For the SNES roms, here is what happens:

I can see them all fine, I will pick one and launch it. I get the grey box with the option to go into the config, then I will see the controller ID in yellow. After that I just get a black screen (some roms show colorful flickering here, but not all). I still see the pulsing 4 color logo in the upper right hand corner of the screen. I can exit out of this state by pressing start + select, so the machine isn't completely frozen.

      Things I've tried:

Updated all core packages - No change
Removed the main SNES emulator and updated from source - No change
Tried all other emulator options - Some change in how the flickering looks after launching a rom, but no success

At this point I will try back revving to 3.7, but wanted to see if there is anything else to try first.

      Thanks!
