Any reason you're using a - very - old RetroPie version (4.1) ?
Do you get to the gamepad configuration screen when starting - i.e. you see the 'Press any button..' message - , or the command prompt (pi@retropie
) appears directly after starting up RetroPie ?
What kind of GPIO gamepad are you using ? It might not work without installing additional drivers. -
thanks you for your answer
I download the retropie version in the link, i don't know wich version is the latest one
I don't have the screen for the gamepad, the first screen i have is "pi@retropie"
I use buttons and Zippy gamepad (for a bartop)regards

Please download the latest install image from retropie.org.uk/download, which at this time is 4.7.1, and re-flash your card, then start again RetroPie. The link from the page you followed points to an older release.
EDIT: make sure you download the image suited for your Raspberry Pi model.

@benc My guess is that you've downloaded the wrong image for your PI model (hence the illegal instruction error message). If you have a Pi 1B+, it should look like the image below.
.Did you download and used the Pi0/1 image from retropie.org.uk/download ?

@mitu for me it'a Pi 3 so i download for 2/3
i restart all with the fils for Pi 0/1sorry my mistake.
