      Pi Model : 3B+
      RetroPie Version : 4.7.1
      Built From: SD Image of Retropie
      USB Devices connected: None
      Controller used: Gpio controlers

      Hello all,
      I try without success to bind the MAME Gui (normally TAB) to a hotkey combination on my bartop. I'm using the LR-MAME-2003+ core.
      Searched on the forum, but cannot find anything.
      I'm using GPIO connected buttons.

      I have already bind my "volume+" & "volume-" to hotkey + L & R keys.
      by adding following lines in my retroarch autoconfig gpio P1 file :
      input_volume_up_btn = "4"
      input_volume_down_btn = "5"

      Now, try to do the same for the "tab" key ?

      Any ideas ?

      Thanks

        @carlhungus74 I think that MAME gui for libretro cores can be turned on and off through an option in the retroarch menu.

          @saccublenda Thanks. Any idea where this option could be ? Navigated in all RGUI without success for now ?

            I think @saccublenda is thinking of the Core Option to show the Mame menu.
            You can bring up the MAME menu also by pressing the RetroPad RT button (Right Trigger) in RetroArch.

              @carlhungus74 It is in
              Main menu -> Quick Menu -> Options -> Display MAME menu
              I don't know if it can be bound to an hotkey though.

                Ok found it. But it's pretty "long" to go the option / put it "on", change some settings, go back to the RGUI, put it "off" to hide it. Hope I could find a way more convenient ?

                @mitu I don't have RT button on my bartop (only 6 buttons for each player (+ start/select). That's why I try to map it on a hotkey.

                  Since I mainly use libretro cores I don't use the mame gui that much anymore, except for some dip switch settings. For all others settings I want to change I use the retroarch menu.

                    Yes, don't use everytime also, only to access the "cheat" menu of Mame, for kids plays.
                    I don't think the "cheat" menu of RGUI is similar for Mame.

                      @carlhungus74 OK, I've found something.
                      If you go in Main menu -> Quick Menu -> Options and set Input interface to mame_keyboard or simultaneous you can use the keyboard tab key to bring up the MAME menu, old style.

                        @saccublenda Thanks. Don't have a keyboard plugged on my bartop so I will use the Quick menu / options solutions...I can live with that.

                        Thanks.
