Pi Model or other hardware: x86_64 PC - Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
      Built From: Downloaded from website
USB Devices connected: Xtension Arcade Emulator Edition Plus, USB Logitech keyboard and mouse
Controller used: Xtension Arcade Emulator Edition Plus.
      Error messages received: None
Guide used: RetroPie Docs and Forum
      Emulator: lr-mame2010

      How to replicate the problem:

I have an Arcade only setup using the lr-mame2020 emulator. The first issue I'm having is that the mouse pointer is always visible in the upper left hand corner of any game I'm running, but it's not visible during Emulation Station. The second issue is when using the trackball / spinner, the mouse pointer moves along with whatever I'm trying to control in the game. The issue is also very similar to this post:

I found a work-around by pressing the hotkey + F11 (Grab Mouse Toggle), except that I have to access my keyboard and manually do this after starting any game.

My question is, why isn't the emulator grabbing the mouse pointer when started? Is there a configuration option I'm missing?

      Thanks in advance

There was a recent addition in RetroArch that makes Video Fullscreen automatically grab the mouse (and hide the pointer). That's not yet included in RetroPie, but at some point will make it through.
