when choosing mame4all-pi as the emulator of choice, in the tab menu during the game, it wont detect any of my d-pad presses, on my usb snes controller. and on the ps3 type usb controller, it will only detect the analog stick, and not the d-pad presses. is there a fix for this?

@skrapps914 what does your d-pad detect as on your snes controller? And the reason why it only detects the joystick is it automatically assigns axis 0 and axis 1 as the direction pad in the menu.

@edmaul69 the d-pad is hat0, advmame detects the presses. But mame4all-pi won't. I'd rather use mame4all because it runs smoother. But the controls are giving me a problem

It's only detecting analog. No d-pad inputs at all on the PS3 type USB controller either.
Snes has no analog, so it won't detect anything but the shoulder buttons and abxy
