      Hello,

I'm running RetroPie 4.7.1 on a Pi4, standard image and firmware was updated about 3 weeks ago. I've been trying to follow this guide from the forum to get Flash games working on RetroPie; unfortunately after updating (sudo apt-get update) it then says that gnome isn't found in order to install it (sudo apt-get install gnash).

Are there any alternatives to gnash that could be used to play flash games standalone (through X, naturally) now that (sniff) flash is dead? Or alternative ways to compile gnash? I've found a tarball but it got to a dead end when it came to the "make" stage.

The Ruffle flash player seems the go-to solution nowadays. Run in a browser and load your flash file to play.

@mitu thank you! Is this the sort of thing that could be launched from ES, using similar code to the guide?
