      Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me, but I am a complete novice, so it might be hard work!!

Someone has put together a pi3 with RetroPie with Kodi installed in the ports section.

All the emulation systems and their menus work perfectly with sound, but when I try and play a video of kodi I get no sound.

Kodi isnt on mute and the sound system settings on RetroPie are all on and set to either 3.5mm Jack or auto,

      Any ideas?

      Thanks!!!!

From the home/root menu of Kodi, move right and select 'System'. The resulting menu will have another listing for 'System'. Select that and go to 'Audio Output'. By selecting the 'Audio Output Device' menu listing, you'll be given a few options. Based on your initial post, I'm a little unsure if you're using HDMI or the 3.5mm jack, so pick whichever one applies to you and see if that does the trick.
