Having audio issues with my cabinet. Originally I had the power wire turn on/off with button for pie and was manually turning my amp on and off. Did not have any issues. last night I put everything inside, removed the power button wire from pie and had it setup so I would shut down pie then turn the power strip off which would automatically turn off amp and pi. When I do this now, my audio does not work. Only way to get it to turn back on is to go into Retropie, Audio, and reset to default then reboot system. There has to be a fix for this. Can anyone help me please?

I might have fixed it but would still like input because dont understand why it wasnt working. Only thing I can think of is when powering everything off instead of manually turning on amp and pie it caused an issue. What I did was force HDMI audio in RASPICONFIG and AUDIO. I have a jack on the tv that goes to the 3.5 but needed to setup HDMI force because that is going to the tv. I shutdown with powerstrip several times and it maintained audio.

@common763 when you power off the Pi... Are you just killing the power, or using a safe shut-down script.

          Or even a Mausberry?
