      Hello,
I have transferred my ROMs from USB to SD card. This worked the first time. Now I have some new ROMs and want to transfer these, too.

I copied them to the same USB stick, where the old ROMs are still stored. Now I put the USB stick into the Raspberry and restart.
The new ROMs are not transferred. Am I doing something wrong?

      Thank you very much.

@Dusty https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Transferring-Roms - Emulationstation must be refreshed. SFTP is by far the best method.

I did that, but it doesn't work. Emulationstation starts up, and the new games are missing.
Can I use the same USB stick, or do I need to delete the roms I already copied before?

I have some large Dreamcast ROMs on the USB stick? Can that be a problem? There are more than 3 GB on the USB stick.
I tried to copy it manually in the filemanager, but I cannot find the USB stick there. Maybe it doesn't get recognized.

Btw. USB ROM Service is enabled.

@Dusty How many DC games? How long are you waiting? I've never had it work with the usb in the pi when it's booting up. For CD games I turn on the system and once I'm in ES I put in the usb and wait at least 5 minutes to make sure everything transferred. It's a lot if you're trying to do like 5 PSX/DC games at once.

It's three DC games and some MAME ROMS. I do it this way. I insert the USB stick. The USB stick is blinking slowly for 5 seconds. Then I wait long enough (1 hour). Then I restart the system, but the games are not there.

As I said, the first time it worked fine. Really strange.

That is weird. I'd try taking the dc games off and just transfer the mame roms first, then doing dc one at a time. If that doesn't work I'd format the usb stick and try it fresh. I've never tried transfering more and maybe 1.5gbs at a time.

Now I formatted my Sd card again and wrote the retropie image. I started the system and inserted the USB stick. I waitet for an hour and now all games are there, including dreamcast. Somehow it only works the first time. I think that's strange.

                  What am I doing wrong?
