Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 4 2GB
Power Supply used: Official Pi 4
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
Built From: Retropie official page - md5: 1ea0cbf19991273cc8b50bbca7b52806
USB Devices connected: Ps4 Dual Shock, Wireless USB keyboard, 256GB USB storage drive
Controller used: Ps4 Dual Shock, Wireless USB keyboard,
      Error messages received: N/A
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide): Amiberry guide on github
      File: N/A
      Emulator: Amiberry
      How to replicate the problem:

This is more a question of “is it possible & how”, I searched but couldn’t find a definitive answer so apologies if this is out there somewhere.

I've been setting up Amiberry over the past weeks which is excellent and wanted to swap out a number of games to the CD32 versions (to take advantage of the CD music/FMV's etc).

I got Simon the Sorcerer working straight away (This has the CUE file pointing to the ISO image & has all the music/voice etc).

I dropped a load of other CD32 games on my USB but nearly all of them have additional .WAV files (that accompany the ISO & CUE). They boot up ok, but with silence / no music (or the music would only be on the title screen as I guess this is part of the ISO image).

As a test/long shot I did try converting all the WAVs to BIN (and generating a new CUE file) but either the game wouldn't boot at all, or if it did it was the same problem with no music.

Searching everywhere on the Amiberry guide there is a statement in the FAQ: "Only the file passed would probably be an .lha one, not a CD image. Keep in mind that WHDLoad games usually don't contain CD audio tracks, so you'll be missing those..."

So this is where I couldn’t find if it’s even possible to get the CD32 games working with CD music at all by any other way / conversion? (EG: similar to how Simon the Sorcerer is with a single ISO image / by merging the WAVs? & how?).

Has anyone managed it? Or, is this completely impossible to do?

@dmd Amiberry's CD (CDTV/CD32) support is being overhauled at the moment. This problem is caused by the partially implemented changes. A new Amiberry version that may fix this is due to drop soon.

You could downgrade a couple of iterations if you don't requite the very latest version as CD32 games used to run fine.

        Currently running:
Retropie 4.8.9 on a Pi Zero 2W (Overclock Settings: CPU 1400Mhz)
        ES-DE on a GMKtec K6 (Windows 11, 32GB RAM)

@george-spiggott Thanks for the reply, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for Amiberry updates.

In the meantime I’ve ordered a 2nd SD Card to have a general play around as I’m still new to this and keep breaking things, so I’ll have a look into the Amiberry downgrade as part of that experiment!
