Blood Port locking up ES on exit
-
Im working on my first install script for NBlood.
so far so good.
i have it install and do everything needed. (i do need to change a few command but thats easy)my thing is when i go and exit the game. all that im left with is the gray runcommnd window and it will not go back to ES.
am i missing something to have ES start again.
the game starts fine and plays. but hangs when you exit.wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Exarkuniv/Nblood-RPI/Master/Nblood.sh -P $HOME/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/ports/
still working on it so make it setup everything for the Cryptic Passage, but the main game does work
it just does not want to go back to ES -
UPDATE
well still dont have it working. but i have tried different ways to have the game ran and compiled and so for it all ends the same. The system just sitting at either the runcommnd window or black screen.
it depends on how the game is ran.
i name shell to lunch the game directly. so it was not running with runcommand. it just ends at a black screen.
i even compiled with opengl turned off. same thing.so i think something it the code for the port it self does not like ES and its not restarting.
bummer since it work just fine with my Pi3 -
Ive just stumbled upon your GitHub. Have you ever managed to get it return to ES?

@exarkuniv That's wonderful! I'm about to try it out tonight!
I've just tried it and it works flawless! Thanks a lot for the install script; it doesn't get any easier than this.
Just a little side note: setting mus_sf2_bank in settings.cfg to "/usr/share/sounds/sf2/FluidR3_GM.sf2" does not seem to work. However, creating a symlink (ln -s /usr/share/sounds/sf2/FluidR3_GM.sf2 /home/pi/.config/nblood/FluidR3_GM.sf2) and using mus_sf2_bank "/FluidR3_GM.sf2" gets the job done.

no idea what that is for, but ill take a look at it.
UPDATE
you will need to provide more details if you can. my settings.cfg does not have anything like that in it. mine just has key bindings. and my nblood.cfg also does not have anything like that.
where did you get that setting.cfg file?
and i dont have FluidR3_GM.sf2 installed on my system, that is not a depends that is installed from my script.
so i have no idea on what is going on here. sorry -
@exarkuniv My comment was only meant as information for anyone who installs Blood and wants to enjoy high quality GM-midi sound as well :)

@boolean NP.
you should post the sets on how you got that to work.
most people are not going to know what you are talking about just from that.
just FYI -
@boolean im always wanting to make the games better
if you figure out a way to make the sound better.post on how you did it and i can add it to my script so everyone can enjoy it.
plus it gives me something to figure out :)
