      Hello,

      I've not been able to get the WaveShare WM8960 working on RetroPie. (Linux Retropie 5.10.11-v71+). I followed the instructions on the waveshare github but all I get when i list the aplay devices are the normal RPi outputs.

      I have checked the status of the hat via "systemctl status wm8960-soundcard.service" and it says "Failed to Start WM8960 soundcard service" with an exit-code of 1/FAILURE.

      Has anyone else had this issue?

      Any help will be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

        @skavenger Given that the 5.10.x kernel was recently released, it's unlikely to be a compatibility issue - see https://github.com/waveshare/WM8960-Audio-HAT/issues/24 on the driver's source project.

          @mitu

          Ever get a fix for this? Probably won't support Waveshare again, I tried compiling their software on the latest kernel even on a fresh Raspbian desktop image, nothing but issues from them.
