C64 VICE 3.5 and 3.4 can not connect to TCPSER
-
Hi, currently using a raspberry pi4 but already tested this on the 3b and the same issue appeared.
3b had the 3.4 Vice version. So I can confirm this happens in 3.4 and 3.5 distros not 3.3
When you setup TCPSER and then load CCGMS D64 (already configured with the correct Modem Settings for "Swift / Turbo DE" the text you write does not appear on screen.
This is not a DUPLEX issue. When you issue the command ATZ a couple of times the full C64 keyboard hangs (but the emulator still works).
I kind of "fixed" it by doing a "Hard Reset" from the VICE menu. Some times after the hard reset, you can reload CCGMS (load "*",8,1 and then RUN) and the terminal works O.K.
I am sure everything is set up correctly (I wrote this tutorial some months ago https://jalbarracin.medium.com/making-thec64-retropie-complete-guide-for-anyone-90977396622e and didn't change any thing) also, CCGMS works if you hard reset the machine (some times you have to do this a couple of times).
Best!
