      Hey guys,

I'm not new to Retropie but I'm new to all this code stuff. I don't understand what it means or what to do when a problem presents itself.

I've been adding roms to my image and scraping all videos, marquees, etc and then I went to bed. I turned it on this morning and I see a new error on boot. Boot.jpg
This is my boot issue. I saw it has to do with my Nespi + safe shutdown so I ran the code again. That didn't help.

On Shut down this is what I get and I don't know why It takes 90 seconds to shut down. It was only running a stop job for one user but today it was saying there were 2 users it was trying to stop. I've rebooted several times and it's gone back to just the one user for Session c1. What the heck does that mean?
      Shutdownn 01.jpg

And a shot of the rest of the text above if you need to see any of that. Is there a way to see this boot and shutdown text without trying to snap a pic of the boot and shutdown sequence?

      Shutdownn 02.jpg

Any help would be appreciated. I wasn't ready to backup my image last night but I really should have. Can this be fixed?

      Thanks guys

Here's more information to troubleshoot my problem. Thanks DreamcastKid for the help.

          Pi Model: 3B+
Power Supply: 5v 3a with switch if that matters
RetroPie Version: 4.7.8 (as per RetroPie-Setup)
          Built From: Raspberry Pi Imager
USB Devices Connected: Wireless Keyboard/RetroFlag SNES Game Pad
Controller used: Wireless Keyboard/RetroFlag SNES Game Pad/PS3 Controller (Bluetooth)
Error Messages Received: Posted As Photos. Hard To Get A Clear Shot Of The Boot Text
          Guide Used: No Guide?
File: /opt/RetroFlag/SafeShutdown.py (as seen in photos)
          Emulator: None
Attatchment Of Config Files: I'm not sure what to attach here. There's a lot of config files. (Pretty brand new to troubleshooting this stuff so any help would be appreciated)

Uninstall the NesPI+ shutdown script and use the one from @cyperghost, from https://github.com/crcerror/ES-generic-shutdown.

@mitu Thank you very much for the help. I just did this and it seems to have fixed the problem I was having. The text on boot is now gone.

However, the reset button works a little different now. When I press it it doesn't reboot the system it reboots ES. If that's how it's supposed to work then great, but I need to make sure this is what it's supposed to do. Is there now a delay on it too? The previous script started the reset ASAP and this one I seem to have to push and hold for a second for it to activate. That normal too? Sorry for all the stupid questions. I'm learning.

@rocknroll Yes, what you are describing is the intended behavior. Holding reset for a few seconds during a game will terminate the game and return you to ES. Holding reset for a few seconds while in ES only restarts ES.

Thanks for your reply. I'm thrilled it's working as it should. I have encountered a new problem when exiting a game before going into the game. (Press key for menu and exit without launching). I'm going to try troubleshoot this before I have to come ask here for help.

You guys are friggen awesome. Thank you!
                  Until next time...
